How to find us

Car, train, plane, coach, taxi, car-pool ....

Located in the heart of the Portes du Soleil, between Lake Geneva and Mont Blanc, Châtel enjoys easy access :
- 20mn from the Swiss motorways,
- 30mn from the Aigle train station,
- 01h50 from Genève-Cointrin international airport,
- 45mn from Thonon-les-Bains train station.

Then Châtel is linked by regular bus services. This all makes arriving and leaving the resort very easy and safe.

Taxis and transport companies also assist you in organizing your transfer to the village.

Once you reach the village, it is easy to get around on foot, on the little village train or by shuttle-bus. Nothing could be easier to ensure you have a great holiday without needing your car !
For parking your car, the outdoor parking is available in front of the hotel. No need to use your car during your stay, because to move around the village and access the slopes, there is a free shuttle service at your disposal. It stop nearby with rotations every 20/30 minutes.

Coming by car

  • from France : follow signs for Geneva, exit the autoroute at Annemasse, continue to Thonon then follow signs for Vallée d’Abondance / Châtel.


  • from Switzerland : motorway A9, follow signs for Monthey / Grand-Saint-Bernard, take exit 18 St-Triphon / Portes du Soleil, then follow signs for Pas de Morgins / France. Do not forget to purchase the mandatory highway sticker (40 FS / 42 €) at the border or in any gas station in Switzerland.

Coming by air

  • Genève-Cointrin international airport is 79 km (approximately 01h50) from Châtel, and is served by the major airline companies.

Coming by train

  • railway stations serving Châtel :

  • in France : Thonon railway station is at 39 km ( www.oui.sncf ). There is a bus service for transfer to the resort or taxi.

  • In Switzerland : Aigle railway is at 25 km ( www.cff.ch ). There is a daily rail service between Geneva airport and Aigle. Transfers between the station and resort are by taxi.


To find us in the village

  • In the village center, in front of the church, take Route du Petit-Châtel :


    • on your left if you arrive from France (Thonon-Les-Bains).

    • on your right if you arrive from Switzerland (le Pas-de-Morgins).

    • L'hôtel Les Triolets is located on your right, 500m away from the center.

    • Please note that snow tyres or chains compulsory in mountain areas from the 1st of November to the 31st of March.
